As an exchange student, I have attempted to combine Novembeard and Movember. I grew a goatee beard for the first 15 days of the month and have cut into a mustache for final stretch. I also joined an online "Movember" team with a buddy for the commrodary spirit and to help me fight through those rough moments with a dirty stache. Below is a picture of my goatee beard. side note: I acknowledge the fact that I took this picture myself from my own web cam...for doing so, I am no longer in loser denial but now a card carrying member of the loser club. I encourage anyone who has never taken a personal pic via web cam to continue their fight...unless you have a good reason like growing a mustache :)

The mustache Godfather - Tom SelleckPost.Script....although it is late in November now, it is never too late to grow a mustache. Grow a stache for the final few weeks if you dare. Ladies, no shaving those legs or armpits! :)

Head to Head with Tom Selleck ... I don't know.

The Eagles have a tight end, his name is "Celleck", you might want to whip him before you move over to push Tom Selleck out of the way. Although Tom Selleck has a strange voice. No one seemed to care, and it clearly didn't get in his way to the top. They always paired him with plain jane women on his show "Magnum PI"
I have no intention of ever going head-to-head with Tommy Selleck. For one, I know I do not have that furry, full mustache capability. I feel my mustache will more similar to a dirty 70s stache. Maybe something like Prefontaine's wiry stache. Second, even if I could go head-to-head...I would only grow the mustache up to the day I knew I could reach Tom's status, and then I would shave it off. Tom is the leader of the lifetime mustache club, I am just a visitor for Movember. The champion belt is safe with him...

Pre only survived to the young age of twenty four. He passed away in May of 1975. His "James Dean" leagacy has only grown the past 35 years since his passing so many years ago. A recent interview asked of Pre's Sister how he would have taken to all of this attention. He loved attention, she said, but only when he was in control of the timing and the amount. She also said he would just shake his head in total amazement. Remember he was already in place to be the face of NIKE. Going into the 1976 Olympics he was favored in every event from the one mile through the 10,000 km (6.2 mile) events. Post Olympics he would have shifted over to the marathon in the early 1980's. Which would have put him head to head with the height of Tom Selleck's highest level of fame through television and B rated movies. Selleck the sportsman always sported a Detroit Tigers baseball lid in eveyone of the episodes each and every week. He and Pre would have reached their peaks of fame during the same decade. Selleck passing away at age twenty four .... problably a pretty quiet sad ending, with barely a scratch on the surface of this world. But just comparing the stache ... Magnum win's !!!
